DESCRIPTION:The Fostering 5K is more than a race—it’s an opportunity to bring our community together around one shared mission: ensuring that every child has the opportunity to experience the love\, safety\, and stability of a family. \nToday\, more than 1\,400 children in East Texas are in foster care\, and many are waiting for loving foster families to open their homes. Others are hoping for the day they find a permanent\, forever family through adoption. These children are our neighbors\, and together\, we can help bring hope in their story. \nFunds raised through the Fostering 5K directly support the mission of The Fostering Collective as we recruit and shepherd Christ-centered foster and adoptive families\, advocate for children in need of permanent homes through Heart Gallery East Texas\, and provide ongoing support\, resources\, training\, and encouragement to foster\, adoptive\, and kinship families across East Texas. \nWe hope our community will join us—not only to run or walk\, but to stand with us in raising awareness for the urgent needs that exist right here in our own backyard. SUMMARY:Certified Babysitter Training
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to offer a one time training that we partner with local child placing agencies to certify sitters for foster families.  Participating agencies include 4Kids4Families\, Arrow\, Azleway\, Bair (less than 12 hours)\, Buckner\, Christian Homes\, Compass Connection\, Grace Manor\, Methodist Children’s Home\, Noble\, TBHC\, and UpBring. \nIf you are in the Mansfield area\, you will have the option to choose the TCAL location on the ticket options page of this registration.   \nFirst Aid and CPR begins promptly at 5 pm and the class takes place from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. \nOnce you have attended this training\, completed all the paperwork and become Infant and Child CPR and First Aid you will be able to serve families for up to 72 hours.  You must be 21 or older. \nThis training is offered in person or virtually via Zoom for a $10 non-refundable fee.  Please choose your preferred option at check out. \nIf you need CPR/First Aid\, you will need to pay an additional $60 to E&E Heartsavers: Nancy Elliott.  Venmo: Nancy-Elliott-CPR\, Phone: 903-714-5101. The hands-on portion of the CPR/First Aid will begin at 5:00. If you receive CPR/First Aid elsewhere\, it must include infant and child. \nRegister Here
