Our Family Collective is our monthly support group for foster, adoptive and kinship families. Each month, we gather together for dinner and then break off into sessions pending age/grade. Each session is led by local therapists who are trauma informed and want to support our families.
Matthew 22:39 says Love your neighbor AS YOURSELF. Self-care means taking care of yourself so that you can be healthy, regulated, help and care for others, and do all the things you need and want to accomplish in a day. So often as parents of children from hard places, we put ourselves last instead of first.
Our October 3rd Family Collective adult session is led by Russ Bailiff, LCSW-S. He specializes in family systems, human development, and trauma. Russ has over two decades of experience working with children and families in crisis. Drawing upon a trauma-informed approach, Russ seeks to help his clients heal with dignity and a sense of self-determination. We have a team of great counselors pouring into each session for your entire family.
