Join other foster, adoptive and kinship moms as we fellowship together.
Our Family Collective is our monthly support group for foster, adoptive and kinship families. Each month, we gather together for dinner and then break off into sessions pending age/grade. Each session is led by local therapists who are trauma informed and want to support our families.
🗣️ This month we are going to focus on communication. Human communication usually fails, except by accident. Trauma exposure can affect our ability to communicate. Let's learn some ways to give voice, navigate relationships, and name it to tame those big behaviors. We long to feel seen, heard and valued. Come be a part of our community.
📍 Location- South Spring Baptist Church 17002 Hwy 69 in Tyler.
🍴 Dinner will be served from 5:30p - 6p.
⏰ Sessions will run from 6:00p - 7p.

James and Katie Gerety, one of our foster and adoptive families, have recently become the owners of Gym Tyler Gymnastics. They want to invite us to their gym on Friday, March 15th from 10-12 for a Family Fun Day. This is during most of our Spring Breaks.
Many of us are looking for FREE FUN things to do with our kids during spring break. Come join us. We can't wait to hang out with you while your kids get all the wiggles out and we all build community. The Fostering Collective will provide snacks and drinks.
Communication is about MUCH more than the words we say. We will meet from 12-1 at The Fostering Collective office, 201 Winchester Dr. in Tyler to unpack what is involved in effective communication. You might be surprised.
Let's Connect is our monthly lunch and learn support group specifically for kinship families. Kinship Care is when a relative or family friend is a caregiver to a child. Invite a friend and join us. Lunch will be provided so please register.
📣 Calling all foster, adoptive and kinship moms, Let's Party!
🎨 We are having a painting party at Pinot's Pallette on March 26th from 6:30-8:30. We are so blessed to have generous community partners and donors so are able to offer this fun experience at a much discounted price. We hope you can join us.
😊 The Fostering Collective will provide sodas, waters and snacks.
💙 We invite you to come to a session of Soul Care Time with April Watters. The end goal of soul care is that you will flourish in the Spirit of the Lord, with increased capacity to function as His adopted child, in the fruits of his Holy Spirit alive in you.
April uses an eclectic blending of therapies such as E.F.T. and spiritual disciplines such as prayer to pour into us and decrease stress levels in the body. We will meet from 10-11 at The Fostering Collective office, 201 Winchester Dr in Tyler.
The Hope for the Journey Conference encourages parents and caregivers meeting the needs of children impacted by adoption and/or foster care. The conference has also served as an opportunity to further resource churches in their endeavors to be beacons of hope and encouragement for families in their congregations and surrounding communities.
With new faces, new stories, and new insight, the 2024 Hope for the Journey Conference will structurally mirror previous conferences with five high-level, more focused learning modules as well as opportunities to go deeper on select topics within each module topic. We will also hear from families and individuals impacted by adoption and/or foster care—whether as parents or adult adoptees and foster care alumni. And finally, the Hope for the Journey Conference will also continue to build on TBRI principles and how those principles intersect with our faith.
💙 Lunch is included.
⭐️ 12 hours of CEUs will be offered through Alethia.
