It's a special occasion that brings together pastors from all corners of the greater Tyler area. We would love for you to invite your pastor to join us as we remind each other of the calling we have to care for children in foster care and discuss the steps we can take to serve this population of children.

Dad Collective

The Fostering Collective 201 Winchester Drive, Tyler

Our Dad Collective is a group of foster, adoptive and kinship dads that meet monthly to help support each other as they navigate leading our homes as caregivers of children who have experienced trauma.

Mom Collective

Join our community of foster, adoptive and kinship moms in the Tyler area that meet on Tuesday evenings once a month to encourage and support each other.

Our Thursday evening Mom Collective is led by Tiffany Davault, The Trauma Specialist at The Fostering Collective. Our Thursday evening group meets at 7pm at 201 Winchester Dr in Tyler.

Dad Collective

Whataburger 4825 S. Broadway Ave., Tyler, TX

At noon on Friday's once a month we have a dad support group that meets at Whataburger, 4825 S. Broadway Ave., Tyler, TX. This group is led by Jeff Sowell and Tony Black, two adoptive dads who love Jesus and want to walk with you as you lead your homes as caregivers to kids that have been exposed to trauma.

Babysitter Training – September 2024

First Bapist Church of Palestine, TX 5700 TX-256 Loop, Palestine, TX, United States

Attend one training to be certified with multiple agencies to babysit for foster families. Participating agencies include 4Kids4Families, Arrow, Methodist Children's Home, Grace Manor, Christian Homes, Azleway, UpBring, Hope Haven, Buckner, Compass Connection and Noble.

✅ The class is $10 to attend.

⏰ Class is from 9am - 11am.

👋 CPR Hands on portion is from 11am-12pm.

📝 If you need CPR/First Aid, you will need to pay an additional $50 to E&E Heartsavers. Their Venmo is Nancy-Elliott-CPR. ☎️ Then text Nancy at 903-714-5101 your name and email address to get started on the online portion of the course.

Let’s Connect – Lunch and Learn for Kinship Families

Our focus this month is on grief and how it affects both your child and YOU as you navigate trauma. Let's Connect is our monthly lunch and learn support group specifically for kinship caregivers. We will meet at 201 Winchester Dr in Tyler at noon.

Give Hope to Children in Foster Care – Interest Meeting

New Beginnings Baptist Church 2137 East George Richey Road, Longview, TX, United States

Do you want to learn more about how you can help children in foster care? Join us to find out ways you can give hope to a child in foster care. Hear more on fostering, adoption, babysitting, wrapping around families who currently foster, advocating for children in care and so much more.

We are not all called to do the same thing, but we are all able to do something to help children in foster care! Local placing agencies will be in attendance and a light dinner will be served.

Our Noon Mom Collective in Tyler is led by Laura Miller, our Family Resource Specialist at The Fostering Collective. Please bring your own lunch and join us at 201 Winchester Dr in Tyler. Our mom collective is a time of encouragement and support for foster, adoptive and kinship moms.

Legacy House Mom Collective

Our Legacy House Mom Collective is for foster, adoptive and kinship moms in the Henderson area that meet at noon at First Baptist Church in Henderson, 207 W Main St. Lunch is provided. Shana Moland and Bonnie Murphy lead this group of caregivers that meet monthly to encourage and support each other. Safeguarding Our Kids

Bridges Community Ministries 1565 FM 2493, Bullard, Texas

Protecting our children from addictions, sexualized behaviors and internet safety can be exhausting and scary. The am session of this training is from 9-12 and will focus on the challenges our kids face AND the healing that can take place when we walk with them towards finding self-worth and value. The pm session will focus on cell phone and internet safety with Tim McDonald. We will offer lunch in between.

The Fostering Collective, Restore Family Counseling and Tim McDonald are partnering together to provide this training for families, case workers, counselors, therapists, teachers, and others who work with youth. LPC, LMFT and LCSW approved CEUs are available for an additional $20. In order to receive the CEUs you must stay the entire day. Registration will open at 8:30am.
