“The presence or absence of play, particularly in child development, has a great deal to do with competency, resiliency, emotional health [and] brain size,” Play is “not frivolous and not just for kids, but something that is an inherent part of human nature.” ~Dr. Stuart Brown
Our culture does not create an environment for adults to play – just because. Children who have experienced trauma often don’t even know HOW to play. The gift of play is one of the best gifts we can give ourselves and the children we care for. So join us June 25th and let’s play!
Let’s Connect is our monthly lunch and learn support group specifically for kinship families. Kinship Care is when a relative or family friend is a caregiver to a child. We will meet from 12-1 at The Fostering Collective office, 201 Winchester Dr. in Tyler. Invite a friend and join us. Lunch will be provided so please register.
