Shame is a powerful emotion for ALL of us – children AND adults. We can get sucked into the “Shame Game” and begin to believe lies about ourselves and that we are the problem. Join us at Family Collective March 3rd where we’ll talk about how to identify and dismantle shame in ourselves and in the children we care for so that we can fully live in our strengths as God created us. Keely Burks M.A., LPC-S and owner at Restore Family Counseling will lead our adult to tools to help us find freedom from shame and to find self-worth and value.
Our Family Collective is our monthly support group for foster, adoptive and kinship families. Each month, we gather together for pizza, salad, and then break off into sessions pending age/grade. Each session is led by local therapists who are trauma informed and want to support our families.
Location- South Spring Baptist Church 17002 Hwy 69 in Tyler.
Dinner will be served from 5:30-6:00pm. Sessions will run from 6:00 – 7pm.
